Typography

Our typeface is Fakt. We like it for its clean style, being easy to read, and offering a professional but friendly vibe. We use it everywhere: print, online, booths, products, etc.

Fakt font
Our typeface is Fakt. For Chinese, Japanese, and Korean we use the typeface Source Han Sans.

Weights
We have 2 font weights, Semibold for titles and Blond for body text.

Text styles
For font sizes we use a multiplication system based from “X”, which is the body copy size.

Alignment
We align our text to the left. In single cases it could be helpfull to use middle alignment. Always first try out left.

Line height
Line height differs per medium. Always use use 120% of the font size if in doubt.

Color
We use Adyen Black and white for body copy depending on the background color. We use either semibold or Adyen green to highlight text and try to avoid doing both.

Caps
NOOOOOOO!!!

Text styles

Our text styles are considered per medium where they are displayed on, for example: for web you might need bigger fonts then on a social posts. In the end all our fonts are being calculated the same way.

We do this with a base size for our fonts per medium, that we mark with “X”. In all cases “X” is the body font size. From here we generate different styles. Below are a few examples, but in our templates (InDesign template, Social media template, or our Design language) you can find them embedded in the file.

Fonts in use
